This spectacular cheesy prawn recipe is a delectable dish to serve for your family. Expensive meal to eat over a restaurant but you can make it fast and easy at your own home. Perfect for seafood lovers out there.
1 kilogram medium sized prawns (approx. 25 pcs)
1 1/2 cup finely chopped red & green bell pepper
1 1/2 cups finely chopped celery
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated quick-melt cheese
1 cup all-purpose cream
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste
* Preheat oven to 250F.
* Wash prawns. Carefully take prawn meat out from its shell, keeping the head and tail intact. Set aside the shells. Devein prawn meat and chop finely.
* In a pan, saute onion in butter until translucent. Add chopped prawn (prawn is cooked once it turns pink). Add red and green pepper and celery. Pour in all-purpose cream once veggies are half cooked. Add cheddar cheese, quick-melt cheese and flour to thicken. Remove pan from the heat and transfer mixture in a bowl.
* Fill each shell with the prawn mixture. Arrange prawns in a baking pan and sprinkle with more cheese on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
You can also cook prawns in a griller. Drizzle lemon juice for a tangy taste, if desired.
