Everyone loves mac n’ cheese. Try this easy recipe of cheesy beef macaroni casserole and your kids would surely enjoy!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound (450 grams) ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup canned tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 cup canned mushrooms, drained and chopped
1 1/2 cups cooked macaroni
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

Procedure

* Preheat oven to 300°F.

* In a skillet, heat oil. Lightly cook ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Add in tomato sauce and tomato paste. Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. Transfer to an oven proof dish.

* Fold in macaroni pasta. Top evenly with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

* Bake in the oven until cheese has melted.

Serve and enjoy with toasted bread! Add Parmesan cheese before serving, if desired.
