Such a refreshing and healthy drink you can serve this hot season. Watermelon and lime is a perfect duo. Watermelon is rich in lycopene and high in amino acids and anti- oxidants. As lime juice has a high amount of Vitamin C that fights unwanted illnesses, helps to prevent kidney stones and it also lowers blood pressure and cholesterol that keeps your body fit and healthy.

Ingredients

2 cups watermelon, seeded, cubed
1/2 cup lime juice
1 cup sparkling water or clear soda
2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)
ice cubes
slices of lime, for garnish
slices of jalapeño, for garnish and extra kick

Procedure

* In a blender purée watermelon add lime juice and maple syrup. Mix and blend well. Transfer to a glass and pour some sparkling water and add ice cubes. Garnish with sliced lime and jalapeño. Serve and enjoy!

Jalapeño also aids weight loss because it is low in calories and high in fiber.
