These banana fritters are cooked to perfection. Ideal dessert to end a good meal. This is best serve while it’s hot.
Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, divided
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 3/4 cup water
– 4 firm bananas
– vegetable oil (for frying)
– vanilla ice cream (optional)
– chocolate syrup (optional)
Procedure:
1.) Combine 1 cup of flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
2.) Gradually blend in water, beating with whisk until smooth.
3.) Cut each banana crosswise into 3 pcs, yielding 12 pcs total. Coat bananas lightly with reaming 1/2 cup flour.
4.) Heat oil in wok or large skillet over high heat to 375°F. Dip banana pieces in flour batter mixture, coating well. Cook 4-6 banana pieces at a time until golden, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
5.) Transfer it into a platter. Serve with vanilla ice cream and drizzle it with chocolate syrup, if desired.
