Beef Brisket in Peanut Sauce

Lovely beef recipe to perk up your dining table. Tender beef brisket cooked with nutty and scrumptious peanut sauce. A dish that exude with great flavors.


2 1/2 cups cubed beef brisket
1 medium size onion, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 cups beef stock or water
1/2 cup fresh un-roasted peanuts, finely ground
2 small size tomatoes, skinned, seeded and chopped
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon turmeric
Kosher salt, to taste
chopped peanuts, for garnish (optional)
chopped chives, for garnish (optional)


* In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and season with salt. Mix well. Constantly stirring until boiling. Cover the saucepan then lower the heat to simmer for 40 to 50 minutes. When the beef brisket is tender open the cover and continue cooking for 10 more minutes and stir again. Cook until the peanut sauce is thickened.

* Serve hot with steamed organic rice! Garnish with chopped nuts and chopped chives, if desired.

If fresh peanut is not available you can also use unsalted peanut butter.
