Classic Cream of chicken Soup

4 cups chicken stock
1 cup cooked chicken, diced or shredded
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon margarine or butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
2 1/2 cups all-purpose cream
croutons, for garnish
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
salt and pepper, to taste


* In a pot, boil the chicken stock, milk, and chicken meat. Simmer for a few minutes. Combine the flour with water, slowly pour this in the stock. Add margarine while stirring. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the lemon juice and nutmeg to the soup and season with salt and pepper. Add the cream while continuously stirring. Turn off the heat.

* Serve in a soup bowl and garnish with croutons and parsley.
