This is a marvelous easy to do recipe of fresh cod steak. Simple and very fast to make. Sweet and savory flavors combined in one delightful dish.
2 pieces cod steak
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon Chinese wine
1 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
salt and pepper, to taste
* Sprinkle the fish steak with salt and pepper. Set aside.
* Place olive oil in a hot pan. Sauté garlic until brown. Remove from the pan. Set aside.
* Place fish steak on the same pan. Add butter and slightly brown fish on both sides. Combine Chinese wine, oyster sauce and brown sugar. Add it in the fish steak. Cook for 1 minute before turning the heat off.
* Transfer fish steak on the platter. Pour in the sauce and top it with prepared garlic. Add scallions for garnish, if desired.
Serve and enjoy with steamed white rice!
