This is a sweet and delightful dessert to make. Will give you a favorable pleasure in every spoonful. Layered with goodness treat of crushed graham, dulce de leche with crushed banana chips, whipped cream, topped with vanilla ice cream.
2 tablespoons salted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups crushed graham cracker
1/2 cup crushed banana chips
1 cup whipped cream
1 cup condensed milk
1-2 teaspoons unsalted butter
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
banana chips, for garnish
* In a small bowl, combine crushed graham cracker, banana chips, and 2 tablespoons salted butter. (salted butter to balance out the sweetness of the caramel sauce) Stir and blend well. Set aside.
* For the caramel sauce: Heat 1-2 teaspoons of unsalted butter in a saucepan. Add in condensed milk. Stirring continuously. Cook until the condensed milk caramelizes and turns into light brown in color. Set aside.
* In an ice cream glass or tall glass, layer graham mixture, whipped cream, and caramel sauce. Repeat until topmost of the glass. Scoop vanilla ice cream and place it on top. Drizzle with caramel sauce and garnish with banana chips and mint leaves, if desired.
