1 lb chicken thigh fillets, sliced
1 ¼ teaspoons grated ginger
1/3 cup honey
¾ cup soy sauce
½ teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
ground black pepper to taste
1 cup cooked rice (for serving)
* Place honey and soy sauce in a saucepan and simmer until combined well.
* Add in the ginger and stir for 1 minute then transfer to a small bowl. Set Aside.
* Season chicken with pepper according to taste. On high heat, preheat oil on a frying pan, cook chicken to desired doneness.
* Shift to medium heat, add in half of the soy sauce mixture. Stir to evenly cover the chicken, then gently simmer for about 1 minute or until sauce thickens. Remove from heat. Place the chicken on top of rice, gently pour the remaining sauce, and sprinkle some sesame seeds all over. Serve hot and enjoy!
