It’s not always about having the most complex menu. With some easy-to-find ingredients you can try out this Thai chicken wings. Fried chicken wings in sweet, spicy and delicately salty sauce. Explosion of wonderful taste in every bite!
1/4 cup fish sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar or white sugar
5 tablespoons water, adjust if needed
1 1/2 tablespoon crushed garlic
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
12 pcs chicken wings
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon mint leaves, chopped
1tablespoon cilantro, chopped
* In a hot saucepan, add in sugar. Wait until it dissolves and slightly caramelized. Put fish sauce, 1/2
teaspoon garlic, chili powder and water. Cook until syrupy. Adjust water if needed.
* Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a small skillet. Toast in garlic, cook until slightly golden brown. Remove from heat. Set aside.
* In a large pot heat 2 inches of vegetable oil. Pat dry the wings on paper napkins. Place the cornstarch in a bowl. Lightly coat the wings with cornstarch. Dust of the extra. Fry the wings until golden brown. Remove from oil and place in platter with paper napkins.
* Put prepared fish sauce mixture in a large bowl. Toss and coat chicken wings.
