What better way to celebrate the summer months than to munch in some cold and sweet dessert. Peaches and cream goes well together. Peaches drizzled with honey, dash of cinnamon powder, grilled to glaze topped with creamy vanilla ice cream is a heavenly delight.
• 2 medium peaches, slice in quarter and deseeded (you can also use canned peaches)
• 1 pint vanilla ice cream, or your choice of flavor
• 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
• cinnamon powder
Arrange sliced peaches into a baking tray. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup and put a dash of cinnamon powder. Set aside.
Set oven or griller over high heat. Place peaches and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes or until glazed.
Remove from heat and transfer onto a serving plate. Scoop ice cream and place it in the center. You can also add some crushed nuts or other toppers.
*You can also use other fruits in season. For healthy take substitute ice cream and use yoghurt instead.
As simple as it seems but these sweet and creamy dessert can bring you a healthy treat aside from fighting the heat of summer.
