Here are 4 ways on how to test your cake when it’s done:
1. When toothpick inserted in the center of the cake it comes out clean, without any traces of crumbs and batter.
2. When the cake is pressed by the fingers, the cake springs back and the mark made by the finger disappears.
3. When the cake do not stick to the pan, and separates from the sides of the pan.
4. When the top of the cake is evenly brown.
When the cake is done, let it set in the pan for about 2 minutes. If the cake is lined with paper, it can be easily remove from the pan. Place the cake upright on a cake rack and let it stand until it is cool and ready to serve or for frosting.
