Lychee Syrup in Vanilla Ice Cream

his is a decadent dessert to serve after a heavy meal. Very simple and fast to make dessert recipe.

Lychee has an exotic aroma and fruity flavor that blends well with vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle some almonds on top and you’ll have a pleasurable experience.


3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 cup canned lychees, (reserve the syrup)
1 teaspoon butter
1 tablespoon candied ginger, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 pint vanilla ice cream


* In a pan, combine honey and cornstarch. Blend the reserved lychee syrup (about 1/2 cup) with the cornstarch mixture. Add in candied ginger and butter and stir to cook on low heat. Wait until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.

* Remove from heat and stir in lychees and lemon juice.

* Scoop vanilla ice cream in a bowl and drizzle with lychee syrup on top. Arrange lychees on the side.

You can also use your choice of ice cream flavor and sprinklers.
