Sautéed Bean Sprout and Tofu

When it comes to getting healthy, it is important look into what foods support the nourishment that your body needs. This bean sprout recipe is perfect for people that is conscious to their health and wellness.


1 tablespoons corn oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons leeks, chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic, chopped
1 block tofu, cut into cubes
1 1/2 cup bean sprouts, washed
1 teaspoon soy sauce
Kosher salt, to season
pinch of ground black pepper


* Heat oil in a skillet, pan fry tofu until slightly brown. Set aside.

* In the same skillet, melt butter. Sauté onions, leeks and garlic. Fold in bean sprouts and season with soy sauce, salt and ground pepper. Add the tofu and stir for another minute.

* Transfer in a serving bowl.

Serve and enjoy with brown rice or as it is. You can also add chicken or shrimp, if desired.
