Sesame-Crusted Fish Fingers

Want to give a twist to your usual fried food? An easy Asian upgrade by using sesame seeds instead of breadcrumbs.


500 g dory or any white fish fillets, clean and cut into long strips
½ cup sesame seeds
½ cup flour
½ cup water
1 egg
salt and pepper, for seasoning
vegetable oil for deep-frying


Season fish strips with salt and pepper. Place sesame seeds on a shallow dish. Mix flour, egg and water to make a batter. Dip fish fingers one by one in batter to coat well then roll it over the sesame seeds.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan to high heat. Fry fish fingers by batches until light golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels. Arrange fish fingers on a platter serve with tomato sauce or your favorite dip.
