Spiced Sweet Potato Fries

Tired of the same old potato fries? Then this one is for you! This healthy and delicious snack is so easy to do! Your family will surely love this to bits.


500 grams sweet potatoes
1/4 cup of cornstarch
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon cumin
cooking oil for deep frying
tomato catsup for dipping


* Mix cornstarch, cinnamon and cumin in a large bowl.

* Peel potatoes and cut into thin sticks. Dredge potato fries in the cornstarch mixture batch by batch and shake off excess coating.

* Heat cooking oil in a deep pan over medium high heat. Add potatoes and fry until golden brown in color, about 4-6 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Do this in batches to avoid fries sticking to each other. Transfer to a serving platter and serve with tomato catsup dip or your choice of dip.

Tip: You can also use plain yoghurt, garlic mayo or honey mustard as a dip.
