This steamed whitefish recipe is light but full of fresh flavors. The delicate taste of whitefish paired with soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger and garlic sauce. Delicious meal to serve for your family and friends.
1 kilogram whitefish fillets, cut in bite size pieces (your choice of fish: halibut, cream dory, cod, or hake)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
4 stalks spring onions, sliced
2 tablespoons minced ginger
1 teaspoon sesame oil
* In a hot wok or pan, sauté garlic in vegetable oil until slightly brown. Set aside.
* Marinate fish in soy sauce, rice vinegar, spring onions, ginger, and sesame oil for 5 minutes. Transfer fish on a foil. Add marinade. Fold and cover the fish. Steam for 20 minutes to cook.
* Transfer fish and sauce on a plate and top with prepared garlic.
