Stir-fried Pork and Green Beans

½ kg lean minced pork
½ kg string beans, cut into 1 inch sticks
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium red onion, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste


Heat oil in a wok. Sauté onions and garlic until garlic is lightly brown and onions is translucent. Add pork and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until cooked. Add in string beans and sauté for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in soy sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with steamed rice.

Tip: Can also use beef or chicken instead of pork and green beans instead of string beans.
